From one point of view (in the table below), YouTube emerges to be a clear winner. However, what this table doesn’t tell is that YouTube’s global revenue for 2020 was $20 Bn whereas Netflix’s global revenue stood at $25 bn.
YouTube on the one hand is spending billions on building robust servers and infra whereas Netflix is spending billions on content. It’s all about priorities.
Both are winners in their own space till they try to invade each other’s territories.
